Who I am
My name is Justin and I’m from Brooklyn, NY. I’m a software engineer and self-taught visual designer. I study math and computer science at NYU, and will have my Bachelor’s by May 2025.
My name is Justin and I’m from Brooklyn, NY. I’m a software engineer and self-taught visual designer. I study math and computer science at NYU, and will have my Bachelor’s by May 2025.
Outside of school and professional stuff, I like fashion, including shopping second-hand, upcycling, sewing, dressing up for photos, taking photos of others, and learning about designers.
I also like making related content on TikTok. And I like video games (just League of Legends for now, in which I'm top 10% in North America).
I learned graphic design at an early age and became a famous designer on Roblox in middle school. I did hundreds of commissions and accumulated over 13,000 views on DeviantArt. I also made a TikTok about this and it got 100k+ views.
In high school, I was introduced to computer science, and due to my love for video games, I stopped designing and focused on coding.
But during my first year of college (at SUNY Binghamton), I designed and built a website to help my job search, and that's when I started to love designing again.
I precisely remember seeing a cool text-changing effect on Curology's website and obsessing over Mozilla's new serif font. I was inspired to implement them on mine.
